Peck’s Sedge (Carex peckii) is a small sedge with height ranging between 15-30 cm. It has thin, bright green leaves and reddish leaf sheaths, with the leaves shorter than the stems. It has long flowering stems, reaching up to 50 cm and dense, green-brown seed clusters. It can be found in dry, and moderately moist forests, and can uncommonly be found in swamps and bogs. This plant can spread by rhizome propagation and will form colonies of plants.
