Fox Sedge (Carex vulpinoidea) is a robust sedge, reaching 90 cm tall. Its leaves are a vibrant lime green and form dense basal clumps with a short, fibrous brown sheath. Fox Sedge features long stems with clusters of golden-green flower spikes. Later in the season, the fruit develops  a tawny orange colouration, giving the common name Fox Sedge. It is found in and around wetlands due to its preference for wetter soil and full sun. Fox Sedge is a striking plant that is well suited for a clay garden or locations with poor drainage.
