White Turtlehead (Chelone glabra) is a great choice for a rain garden; it thrives in a partially shaded to sunny location with moist, rich soil.  Its unusual white flowers resemble the shape of a turtle’s head. This perennial plant attracts many different pollinators including the Baltimore Checkerspot (Euphydryas phaeton), the Turtlehead Borer Moth (Papaipema nepheleptena) and Ruby-throated hummingbirds (Archilochus colubris).
