Common Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis) is a tall biennial wildflower. This plant is drought tolerant; it grows in well-drained soil with full or partial sun. During the second year it grows a tall stem topped with vibrant yellow flowers with a lemon fragrance. The flowers open in the evening and close the following morning. This plant supports evening pollinators such as the Primrose Moth (Schinia florida) and Pearly Wood-Nymph (Eudryas unio).
