White panicled aster is a versatile addition to a native plant garden. The word “Aster” comes from the Greek word for star, and this plant produces a large constellation of small white flowers in open, airy flower heads. Asters are important plants for pollinators and are host plants for many butterfly and moth caterpillars.

🦋 Host plant for Silvery Checkerspot (Chlosyne nycteis), Pearl Crescent (Phyciodes tharos), Northern Crescent (Phyciodes cocyta) and Tawny Crescent (Phyciodes batesii) butterflies.
